Centella Asiatica
commonly known as Gotu Kola, Indian Pennywort, or Asiatic Pennywort, is a herbaceous perennial plant
belonging to the Apiaceae family. It is native to the wetlands of Asia, particularly India, China,
Indonesia, and Japan, but it is also found in other tropical and subtropical regions around the world.
For centuries, Centella asiatica has been an important herb in traditional medicine systems such as
Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Indonesian Jamu. It is believed to have various health
benefits and is used for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and wound-healing properties.
